Outlook 2002/2003 Setup – Modify an Existing Account
This page describes how to modify an existing e-mail account in Microsoft Outlook. If you intend to setup a new e-mail account in Outlook, please refer to the page titled Outlook 2002/2003 Setup – Create a New Account
Step 1 - Open Microsoft Outlook

Step 2 - From the Tools menu, choose E-Mail Accounts

Step 3 - Select View or change existing e-mail accounts.
Step 4 - Click the Next button.

Step 5 - Select the account you wish to modify.
Step 6 - Click the Change button.

Step 7 - In the Your Name field, type your name as you would like it to appear on your outgoing e-mail.
Step 8 -
In the E-mail Address field, type your full e-mail address (i.e. your-name@your-domain.com)
Step 9 -
In the Incoming mail server (POP3) field, enter "mail.your-domain.com". Be sure to use your actual domain name here!
Step 10 -
In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, enter "mail.your-domain.com"
Step 11 -
In the User Name field, type your full e-mail address (e.g., your-name@your-domain.com).
Step 12 -
In the Password field, type your e-mail password.

Step 13 - Click the "More Settings" button
Step 14 - Click the "Outgoing Server" tab
Step 15 - Verify that the box labeled "My outgoing server requires authentication" is checked. The "Use the same settings as my incoming mail server" should be selected.

Step 16 - Click the "Advanced" tab
Step 17 - Under "Server Port Numbers", change the "Outgoing server (SMTP)" port from 25 to 587

Step 18 - Click "OK", then "Next", then "Finish"
